Cantiana Choir workshop
On Saturday, I travelled down to Kent for a workshop with Cantiana Choir on ‘All the Days of Your Life’, an anthem in memory of Alan Bayford. The piece has some ‘weird and wonderful’ elements and the choir took on the challenge with enthusiasm! I’m looking forward to the world premiere on December 21st!
Video score progress
Having never composed a video score before, I’m finding this an interesting challenge. The majority of my recent works allow the performer to explore the whole score, so using a format that forces the performer to look at one section of the score at a time requires a different approach. I have created all of the material to be used and now it’s just a case of experimenting with the pacing.
