Composition deadlines have coincided with a boost in my instrumental teaching…which means I’ve got scraps of paper full of ideas hastily scribbled between lessons. It also means that this will be another short post. I just wanted to share something that I’ve been working on.

This is a piece for flautist Gavin Osborn. I’m experimenting with layering ideas physically on the page. I’m not sure if this will work out but if anyone can find their way around an experimental score, Gavin can!
